mark At an early age Mark Lohr was inspired by the great silent comics Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, and Laurel and Hardy. He was also a huge fan of the Three Stooges and Abbott and Costello! Over two decades ago he ran away and joined the circus and has never looked back! He now travels the world entertaining the likes of Mickey Mouse, audiences of Cirque du Soleil, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, as well as 2007 and 2009 attendees of the Kimtom International Clown Festival in Shanghai China! He has toured North America and China with circuses, symphonies, festivals, and corporate events (Disney, IBM, AOL, to name a few); and has performed on national television as part of the PBS broadcast of the Washington Opera's performance of "I Pagliachi." Mark is now based in the Washington DC Metro Area performing and teaching globally, living with his beautiful wife Lisa and 5 wonderful children.
elmo Elmo Gibb earned a degree in linguistics from Georgetown University in 1973. He then attended and graduated from Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College in 1976 and has been a professional circus clown ever since. This includes two years on the "Ringling Show" and many many years on Clyde Beatty-Cole Brothers Circus where he held titles such as clown, advance clown, producing clown, and boss clown. Along with his clowning, he has presented several trained animal acts and still to this day presents his one-man circus with 5 trained dogs and an educated pony. Elmo currently resides in the 'circus state' of Florida on a large parcel of land that includes 2 houses, 3 barns, and one real live elephant. His more than 35 years of full time circus life has turned him into a living encyclopedia of the traditions, characters, acts, animals, and stories of this art we call Circus.
